Intensive Diplomatic Chinese Training Program

 

Program Introduction

Intensive Diplomatic Chinese Training Program is a special program designed for members of Embassies, Consulates, Diplomatic missions and representative offi­ces in China. With intensive and scientific curriculum arrangement, students can improve their practical language skills at listening, speaking, reading, and writing, especially their listening and speaking communication skills.

Training Content

The program focuses on the improvement of interpersonal communication skills, and the training content includes important words, phrases, sentences and special expressions about:

1. International political diplomacy

2. International economic diplomacy

3. Chinese diplomatic culture

4. Diplomatic etiquette

5. Business communication etiquette

6. Bargaining agreements

7. Business negotiation, agreement, and trading

8. Diplomatic documents writing

Training Mode

1. The program applies the microteaching system with each class no more than 6 students in each class and it will open after 3 students have applied.

2. Teachers will prepare PowerPoint slides and handouts instead of published textbooks.

3. Handouts include main texts, vocabularies, grammars, sentence structures, exercises and discussion topics; they will be given out to students before class for classroom learning and after-class reviews; the examinations include mid-term and final examinations.

4. Students will be granted the Certificate if their regular homework, attendance records, and final test results reach the qualified standard.

Training Objective

1. Through 16-week intensive courses, beginners can reach new HSK 3 (180 points)-HSK 4 (180 points) with basic expression of diplomatic Chinese and practical communication skills;

2. Through 16-week intensive courses, students of preliminary Chinese level (300 words above) can reach HSK 3 (210 points)-HSK 4 (210 points) with good expression of diplomatic Chinese and practical communication skills;

3. Through 16-week intensive courses, students of intermediate Chinese level (800 words above ) can reach HSK 4240 points)—HSK 5240 pointswith proficient expression of diplomatic Chinese and practical communication skills;

4. Through 16-week intensive courses, students of advanced Chinese level (2000 words above) can reach HSK 5 (180 points)-HSK 6 (240 points) with proficient expression of diplomatic Chinese and practical communication skills.
