Over 60 foreign students from advanced master program, under the due arrangement made by School of International Education, visited Beijing Yizhuang economic development zone on October 26.
The first destination of this business visit was Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd, Beijing. Students from this program visited the production workshop and company museum, during which they had known the whole process of beverage transporting, filling as well as vanning, and impressed by the state-of-art production technics, unique concept of management and extraordinary innovation competence of this world-famous company. During the period of exchanges, the students hold a discussion with managerial staff in the company in terms of operating strategy, mode of operation and HR management, etc.
BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd was the second visit--- the supplier of world leading semiconductor display technology, product and service. In the exhibition hall, a glittering array of LCDs was displayed. The students put on the 3D glasses and experience the most advanced hi-tech product while listening to the product introduction at same time. After that, they had learned the details of manufacturing LCD as well.
The last visit on that day was Beijing Tongrentang Yizhuang production base. Previously some of the students had already heard about this Chinese traditional brand with over 300 years of history, thus they were extremely excited when they saw the herbal processing with their own eyes. Lots of students could not help but express what was in their minds: Chinese culture is so profound, and Tongrentang really deserves this reputation because they make excellent Chinese herbal medicine!
Business visit is a vital part of the advanced master education program in UIBE for oversea students. In each semester, School of International Education will arrange 1-2 times of field study according to the program schedule. This business visit had enabled the students to feel the achievement of economic development, and deepened their understanding towards China’s national condition as well as its prospect of economic development.
