On September 17, the opening ceremony for the 2015 international students awarded with Chinese government scholarship was held at the Study Center for International Students in the Qiu Zhen Building. The main heads of the School of International Education, UIBE and over 100 international students attended the opening ceremony.
Mr. Zheng Shuqi, from the service center of the SIE, introduced the related regulations on accommodation and said the service center would strive to improve service quality to make the international students lead a healthy and happy life in UIBE.
Mr. Li Yong, director of the Student Affairs Department, introduced the regulations that are closely related to the international students from activities organizations, visa policy to internship in detail. He hoped that the international students could understand and abide by the regulations and policies. Meanwhile, he noted that all the teachers would do their best to provide service for international students.
Mr. Liu Ming, from office of the school, introduced the regulations on the Chinese government’s scholarship and the release of the monthly living expenses and also answered questions on the reimbursement policies about which the international students are concerned.
Mr. Shi Rui, director of the Department of Degree Education, answered questions that puzzled the students since entering the campus and he encouraged the students to transcend and pursue excellence and finish their studies in UIBE.
Mr. Lu Xiayang, the coordinator of the Chinese government scholarship, invited the students to join the new We-chat group for the convenience of communication. And he said that the coordinator serve to provide better service for the students in that they could be aided timely when they are in difficulties and troubles.
At last, the students watched the presentation video of UIBE and experienced the splendid history of UIBE as well as its deep love for the international students. And in interactive recreational activities, the students shared their nations’ cultures and their colorful experiences. Finally, the opening ceremony came to an end successfully.
