About the Program
To meet the increasing demand for U.S. university-level study experience, the School of International Education established UIBE International Summer Sessions since 2015. As a part of the curriculum the of University of International Business and Economics, those summer sessions open to UIBE undergraduates, international students, and high school students. For UIBE Undergraduates, the credits they earned in the Summer Session courses can be used in their degree program.
The Summer Sessions will open from May to August, offering courses in Accounting, Art History, Economics, English, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, etc. To build an international, innovative and open learning experience, Summer Sessions will invite professors from prestigious universities all around the world, including Harvard University, Columbia University and many other top universities.
Each class has an enrollment limit of 60 students. The summer classes are conducted by a combination of in-class lectures, research projects and case discussions. Students are also expected to participate in internships and field studies. Student grades are determined based on UIBE’s relevant academic regulations and rules.
UIBE registrar office is responsible for issuing official student transcript awarding four credits for each summer course. Each course bears 64 instruction hours (equivalent to 48 hours).
